Steve Jobs passed away

The staff at WpSauce are very saddened to hear of the passing away of one of the greatest minds of our times, Steve Jobs. It is safe to say that Steve single-handedly changed the landscape of consumer technology forever, and without him, there would have been no iPhone, and no Androids or Windows Phones to compete with them, and no WpSauce. For all the good times, Steve, we salute you.

We echo some of the shock and the sense of bereavement that has descended upon the tech world. Bill Gates, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Arrington and many others have expressed their grief.

We end this post with a Beatles song, from which Jobs famously quoted a line in his interview, “You and I have memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead.”

Want a companion for X-Box – There’s an app for that !

Microsoft today revealed that it has tied up with major players like Verizon and Comcast among others to bring Live TV to the X-Box platform. Now if that was not enough, the folks from the Windows Phone Team have developed a nice little tool ( or app, if I may say ) that lets you “Find, Learn more about and Control content from Xbox LIVE Marketplace on your Xbox 360. ”

And the Best thing – The App will be totally free . More about the app here !

Now this was something I was looking for . Call it laziness or Convenience  – This App looks just amazing .  This has the potential of attracting X-Box users to Windows Phone if used really well ( May be something like a controller App in the near future ? ) . Does this app excite you ? Any other form of collaboration you would love between Windows Phone and X-Box ?  Let us know your thoughts in the comments section
