GTA San Andreas played using Kinect and Windows Phone

We have seen Kinect and Windows Phone in action before. This time – it’s been taken to another level. What you’ll see below in the video is a perfect example of co existence of kinect and Windows phone and how they are made for each other. What you have here is a Kindriver, a custom dynamic Kinect driver made specifically for racing game, which is why you only see the driving portion in GTA San Andreas.  Kinect is being toggled with the help of Windows Phone application (which will be released in marketplace soon). You’ll see a bunch of options in the application which can be used to alter controls in game. Take a look at the video yourself and head over to Kuchenzeit for technical details.

Mango coming next week? (Rumor)

Windows phone dev podcast, popular Windows Phone podcast’s hosts Ryan and Travis Lowdermilk apparently have heard from “various sources” that Mango will be coming next week along with the final version of Windows Phone developer tools. There is no way to authenticate their sources but the community has faith in the Lowdermilk brothers. There’s no harm in believing another rumor now, right?
